Share event files and albums
Upload event files and share an album without making copies.
Updated October 11, 2026
Overview
Uploads in Event › Review › Media land in Files › Events › your event’s folder. Gallery and list show the same files.
An album selects those files for sharing. It is not a second store and never copies files.
Setup
1. Upload files
Open Event › Review › Media and upload your files. Open files takes you to the event folder. The first upload creates that folder.
2. Create an album
Open albums in Files, create an album and select files you have already uploaded. You can select files from several folders and set their order.
3. Share the album
Create a share link for the album. It shows the selected files in the album’s order. Before sharing, check that you may publish the files and images of the people shown.
Everyday tasks
Find the album among the albums in Files, rather than as an extra file in the event folder. Its Source row opens the event or source folder. For files from several folders, Open files in an item’s menu opens that item’s folder. Back to album returns to the selection.
Removing an album item keeps the file. Deleting the file in Files removes it from every album.
Tips & FAQ
Does an album use extra storage? No. It references existing files. The uploads themselves count toward your plan’s storage.
Is an album public automatically? No. Share it through the link you choose. Passwords, expiry and revocation also apply to that link.
