Refunds

When you get your money back, how a refund request works, and what happens when an event is canceled.

Updated October 7, 2026

Overview

Refunds follow the organizer's cancellation terms; every event page points to them. For tickets tied to a fixed date, Austrian law (§ 18 para. 1 no. 10 FAGG) provides no general right of withdrawal, because the service is bound to a specific point in time.

You are typically entitled to a refund in these cases:

  • The event is canceled.
  • The event is rescheduled to a different date. You then choose: the new date or a refund.
  • The event takes place in a different city (not just a different venue in the same city).

Beyond that, any organizer may refund more generously. They set that in their own cancellation terms.

Setup

Here is how a request works:

1. Check your entitlement

Look at the organizer's cancellation terms (on the event page) and check whether one of the cases above applies.

2. Request a refund

Open your order from the link in your order confirmation (it also says Request a refund) or under Me › Tickets when you are signed in. Tap Request a refund: you see the amount that comes back and write a short reason.

3. Wait for the decision

The organizer refunds or declines, and you get the answer by email. A refund comes with its credit note as a PDF. If your request has no answer after 7 days, we follow up with the organizer and let you know. Your order always shows where things stand.

Everyday tasks

Usually you need this page only once. Good to know:

  • Check the status: your order under Me › Tickets shows every request with its state and, after a refund, the credit note.
  • Event cancellation: if an event is canceled, the refund comes automatically with an email. Keep an eye on your inbox (and spam folder).

Tips & FAQ

I can't make it. Do I get my money back? Not automatically: being unable to attend is not a statutory refund reason. Whether the organizer refunds as a courtesy is up to their cancellation terms. Asking costs nothing.

How long does a refund take? After approval, 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank. Once it is processed, your order shows the status Refunded.

Are partial refunds possible? Yes, the organizer can also refund part of the order value, for example single tickets of an order.

What happens to my ticket after the refund? Refunded tickets are invalidated and no longer valid at admission.
